Meeting new friends over at instagr.am

My blog has been stagnant for a while now.

My dSLRs and compact cameras, and lomos have been resting for sometime too.

Not that I haven't been telling stories nor taking photos. But having the iphone and mobile internet just made it easier for me to share over at instagr.am. And I have been making new friends over there too -- those whose work delights and inspires me, and those who like my pictures as well. Its a fun community!

My instagram stats

As always, I take everyday photos. Mostly of Peyton, and some others that I find interesting. I don't post process much except for cropping, filtering and some tilt-shifting... haha, that might sound lot but there are others that really produces art. And I do everything with my iphone coz I am just lazy like that.

Apart from being able to tell my own stories with pictures,  I like knowing about other people's stories too. I follow a lot of really creative people, as well as those who live in places I like to visit -- Paris, London and Japan.

So in case you are in instagram as well, look me up... let's be friends! Would love to see your stories as well. :)

What's on my (work) desk?

A blah topic really, who would be interested on what's on my work desk anyway? But just in case you're bored and curious :) Not that I was bored when I did this. No, no, no, of course not. Mostly just curious on how photos using the lomolomo app on the iphone will turn out.

iLove.iPhone.instagr.am.

Hello blog reader. Did you miss me? It's been two months and a lot has happened. Most notable is that I finally climbed on board the iPhone bandwagon and I am loving every minute of it, from the first 4square check-in that I did right after I got it out of the box (when I was still at the Singtel shop).

No, I am not writing a poem about my great iPhone love like I did before, but please, allow me to share what I love most about it... Instagram! Instagram is a FREE iPhone app that allows you to snap a photo (or take an existing photo from the phone’s gallery), enhance it with eleven different possible effects, share it on the various social networks, as well as on Instagram itself. I love the photos that i produce with it.

Assorted Munich

Munich is is the capital city of  the Bavaria state, the birthplace of Oktoberfest (which I found out that they celebrate in September). I wasn't able to explore much of the city, but what I saw reminds me something like Edinburgh. Its a big metropolitan city but still with homey feel. Must be the Bavarian vibe.

Here are some more Munich photos:

First day (shopping) in Munich

This is a much delayed posting of some photos from my Munich trip. Photos are few and not too great -- I wasn't really ready when I left, so all these pictures were taken using my Nokia E71 camera.

I basically did (only) two things in Munich, which is shop and work. I was only there for 4 days anyway. First day was shopping! Yep, we got our priorities right :)

Singapore Smiles

We chanced upon a photo shoot at the Telok Ayer Green which showcased the cultural diversity of Singapore with the Chinese, Malays and Indians. I was so tempted to join the group (to the represent the growing number of Pinoys here) but I left my Filipiniana gown at home, hahaha.

Spectators

At the Wakeboarding World Cup 2006 at Bedok Reservior. Ok, I know I was supposed to be taking pictures of the action on the water -- which I did but there weren't many that turned out good (hey, its my first try at taking pictures of sports!), but I couldn't resist taking these pictures:

So aside from these awed ones, there were also these little bored ones who were brought along by their parents:

I thought they looked like GUESS Kids models with their blonde hair, hehehe.

Trigger Happy

I had fun trying out Justin's lenses -- here are some pics taken with his 50mm/105mm prime lens:

Clockwise from top left: My singapore mobile phone, my prayer buddy, my roomie's cookbooks, my roomie's wedding rings, the book I am currently reading on bus rides home , and last but not the least, our brand of choice (taken off a lens cover).
