I didn't like the musical itself when I saw it, but I love this song:
Because there are
Practical cats, dramatical cats
Pragmatical cats, fanatical cats
Oratorical cats, Delphicoracle cats
Skeptical cats, Dispeptical cats
Romantical cats, Pedantical cats
Critical cats, parasitical cats
Allegorical cats, metaphorical cats
Statistical cats and mystical cats
Political cats, hypocritical cats
Clerical cats, hysterical cats
Cynical cats, rabbinical cats
And I am a statistical cat, hehe :)

Modern Broadway and Show Tunes favorites
I love, love musicals. I love the magic that comes to life onstage. But most especially,I love the stories that span across the songs used. And I love listening to Yahoo Music as I get to hear my favorite songs and get to know new musicals from their Modern Broadway & Show Tunes stations. It was from Yahoo music that I get to first hear my current favorites:
Brave Enough for Love (from Jane Eyre The Musical)
What About Love (from The Color Purple)
Everybody Fits (from Altar Boyz)
And lastly, my top favorite, the I Love You Song (from The 25th Annual Spelling Bee)
When I finally saw this onstage, I cried. A lot. Buckets. As in hagulgol. Kinda embarrassing actually but I wasn't able to stop myself. For my friends who know what I've been up to these days, they can understand why.
Ok, enough senti. On a lighter note, I finally, finally figured out how to imbed videos, hahaha!

Avenue Q rocks!
I had been looking forward to Avenue Q since May but was only able to watch it last Sunday -- its last show in Singapore. My only regret was that I wasn't able to catch it earlier -- otherwise, I would have told everyone to go and watch it!

Avenue Q is so funny and entertaining and I've never seen a Musical in my 3 years here in Singapore where I thought the entire cast was really good until this! I felt so proud for being a Filipino -- the Avenue Q run presented by the Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT) was actually the Philippine production.
Big cheers to cast! You guys rock!!!

My my, how can I resist you!
Watching Mamma Mia here in Singapore is a real treat. Since they have Chinese subtitles for this movie, they'd also have English subtitles whenever the cast breaks into a song. Its like a giant screen videoke night! Of course I couldn't help but sing along, hehe. It was fun. :)

Going Home For This...

We're catching the 08/08/08 8pm show. I have such high expectations for this, I hope I won't get disappointed. Peyton's favorite lullaby is Lovely Night, one of the songs from this Musical.
But of course we're going back to Manila to meet up with family and friends too! :)

Writing again!
I know, I know. Its been a long time since I last posted any entry. And to think I should be inspired to write about motherhood. I had no other excuse except that I was lazy (coz Peyton is a wonderful happy baby and I could talk all day about her). So what spurred this entry that I am currently writing? Mig Ayesa’s journal. I caught We Will Rock You last night at the Esplanade and it was great! I had such high expectations for the show and it was wonderful that they didn’t disappoint me. Mig Ayesa was brilliant! It was the first for me to hear about Mig and I was very much impressed with his performance. But after googling him and chancing upon his journal, I am now a fan. He's such a nice guy! I admire people who can write and make everyday stuff sound interesting and Mig’s journal was exactly that. I always wanted to write like that.
So if a rockstar can take time to write then I should have no excuse, right?
