Saw Superman Returns at the Singapore Science Center's Omni-Theater and the experience is really something else. The theater is equipped with state-of-the-art IMAX dome technology using a film that is 10x larger than the conventional 35mm film used in cinemas, shown in a massive hemispheric screen which stretched 180 degrees horizontal wall to wall, tilted to 30 degress angle to the horizon. So the seats are natuarlly leaning back and you tilt your head all throughout the 2 hours and 40 mins of the movie. That's one of the drawbacks. Aside from that, some scenes were just too much to be seen in a very huge, wide screen that makes it hard to keep up with the story.
Best part -- the movie's opening billborad. I must admit it was just spectacular on the dome screen.
