Good morning, Mr. Turtle!

This morning, I got up early to go jogging. The weather was quite cool for an almost-summer and the clouds were pretty with traces of dusk. There were jogging joggers, dog walkers and stretching elders with me at the park connector, beside the canal that spans from Tanglin Road to River Valley Road.

When I stopped to stretched alongside the canal, I saw fishes, FISHES! swimming. Our canal is alive! And there was a good number of them, not just tiny ones, but some a bit bigger, about 6 inches. It's something so simple but it made me happy. I sighed and said a quick prayer of thanks to God for a good morning.

So I continued on jogging then stopped again when I spotted something bigger moving in the water. I was a bit excited, hoping it was a bigger fish, but got a more pleasant surpise when I leaned and saw a real live turtle swimming! Mr. Turtle's shell was about 8 inches long and maybe about 5 inches wide. When he swims, it seemed like he was waving me a good morning greeting. It was cute.

Mr. Turtle made my good morning even better. :)
