For two consecutive weekends, I had the chance to go out of town for some good food.
First one was at Fire Lake Grill in Tagaytay, recommended by a good friend, who was likewise a friend of the owner chef Paul Huang. My absolute favorite – the espresso marinated, coffee crusted steak that we had as part of the main course. It was just soooo good. The smoked salmon salad we had for appetizer and flourless chocolate cake for desert were pretty appetizing too. (The food had a fancier names but I’ve forgotten them already).
The following weekend, I went off to Lucban, Quezon and had the chance to try out Kamayan sa Palaisadaan (in Lucena) along the way. Pretty nice place, where people dine in huts atop a big fish pond. Loved their lechon kawali!
